The Röltgen CNC marking device is a dot marking device that can be integrated into your existing CNC machine. It can mark components of all shapes and sizes. This tool is ideal for marking serial numbers, 2D data matrix codes, logos and alphanumeric text.
Battery powered and WiFi controlled, this tool can be mounted in a variety of tool holders and programmed directly from an external PC or CNC controller.
The main cause of scrap and waste in many manufacturing environments is the transport of workpieces around the shop floor. With the CNC point marker, machined parts no longer need to be taken to a separate workstation for marking, greatly reducing the risk of damage to the component. It is also ideal when space in the workshop is limited, as a separate workstation is not required.
The battery-powered dot marking head produces a sequence of dots that make up the writing and are often used for traceability and tracking of parts. The system is designed to meet stringent international standards for marking parts in the aerospace industry, where dot marking is often required due to the lower stress levels. The battery is removable so that the unit can continue to be used while the battery is charging with an optional second battery. The unit has an automatic shut-off function to conserve battery power when not in use.
The unit is easy to use and is operated via the standard Windows-based software, which is used to load marking layouts onto the unit via a WiFi connection. A drag-and-drop editor allows quick creation of layouts with different fonts, sheet markings, logos, alphanumeric information and data matrix codes.
Serial numbers in text or data matrix codes can be set to be automatically serialised and checked for duplicates to avoid input errors. The embossing depth is also variable so that the tool can be used for materials of varying hardness while maintaining the optimum penetration depth.
Layouts can be called up via the machining centre code to trigger marking during the process.
