Steel types

Here you will find the Röltgen standard steel types with details of the exact body dimensions, font heights and storage options.

The steel types shown on this page fit all type holders of the group 1300 with lateral clamping or 1310 with holding pin. Please order the correct size anyway.

Capital letters, numbers and punctuation marks are available from stock.

The engraving of the steel types is done according to DIN 1451 or according to Automator font. Furthermore, the steel types are made of the material 90MnCrV8 (1.2842), hardened to approx. 60 – 62 HrC, ground on all sides and nickel-plated to protect against rust. The tolerance is +0/-0.02 mm.

We are also happy to manufacture so-called block types for you, on which several, recurring letter or number combinations are combined. This makes it easier to change the steel types. Of course, logos or special characters are also possible.
