It is controlled and programmed using a 4000 series touchscreen controller. This ergonomic and well-balanced portable dot peen marking machine weighing just 5 kg was specially developed to bring together the flexibility and advantages of dot marking technology in a portable and easy-to-use machine. It is thus ideal for applications where it is advantageous to transport the marking machine to the workpiece instead of moving the workpiece to the marking machine. In particular, the 130 x 30 mm marking area is able to handle longer alphanumeric character strings with larger font heights, such as for the marking of chassis numbers (VIN). Due to the electric solenoid and programmable punching force, the PortaDot 130 x 30 is suitable for marking materials up to a hardness level of 62 HRc (800Hv). The ball screw linear guides ensure the greatest possible marking precision and thus a uniform marking depth across the whole marking area. The two stationary X and Y-motors ensure high acceleration and speed. This is particularly advantageous for dot matrix applications. To ensure that the marking area is clearly visible, the marking head is equipped with LED lighting that switches on automatically thanks to a motion sensor. Another advantage of the PortaDot 130 x 30 is the system's electric drive. No compressed air is required – which also means that the machine is significantly quieter than systems operated using compressed air. In order to ensure that round workpieces can also be optimally marked, V-shaped grooves have been integrated into the face plate. An optionally available electromagnetic tensioning device prevents the marking head from slipping. Another optional accessory is a stand with a manually adjustable Z-axis that allows the machine to be quickly transformed into a bench machine so that smaller workpieces can also be easily marked. Other versions of the machine are also available. The marking head can be fitted with a pneumatic deep marking system in the DP version, while a pneumatic needle drive increases the marking speed in the FP version.
